Cat Lounge FAQs
Do I need a reservation to visit the Lounge?
Generally, no, but if your party is 5 or larger we do ask guests to arrange the visit with us in advance. Requests can be submitted through our General Inquiry form.
Do I have to be an adopter to visit the Cat Lounge?
No! We welcome anyone who just wants to hang out with cats. While all of the cats in the Lounge are adoptable, our human visitors do not have to be adoption-minded. If you’re thinking about adopting though, we think the Lounge is a great place to start.
That’s great! We ask all prospective adopters to fill out our Adoption Q&A. Once that is submitted we will review it and have a friendly conversation about the cat you’re interested in bringing home. If the adoption moves forward, we will send you a contract. Once that is signed and the fee is paid the cat can go home! Please read more on our Adoption FAQs page.
What if I meet a cat in the Lounge that I want to adopt?
Please visit our Adoptable Cats page to find out who is currently residing in the Lounge (their bios will state where they’re located). We also post on our Instagram page about which cats reside in the Lounge.
Where can I find out about the adoptable cats who are currently in the Cat Lounge?
Yes, the cats reside in the Lounge until they are adopted. The lounge is a very comfortable place for our cats to live while they find their forever homes. We ensure they have access to an assortment of beds and perches, lots of nice food, attention from volunteers and Beastie Bestie staff and, of course, visitors. The free-roaming format ensures the cats get lots of exercise and can move comfortably and safely.
Do the cats live in the Lounge?
May I take photographs in the Lounge?
Yes, you may! We respectfully ask guests not to use a flash however.
Yes, please visit our Events page for more information!
Please note that no food or drink is allowed in the room. Submit an inquiry to start the booking process!
Does the Cat Lounge host other events, besides regular visiting hours?
Laser pointers can be a lot of fun but we have found that the cats become very overstimulated by them and, as a result, can become stressed. Since the Lounge is all about making our resident felines happy and comfortable, we find it a generally more pleasant environment without laser pointers, especially given the volume of guests.
