Thank you for taking a moment to read about our Cat Lounge! The Lounge, located in back of Beastie Bestie Pet Provisions, has a unique, free-roaming format that allows our adoptable, feline residents to introduce themselves to our human visitors in a relaxed, home-like environment. Snuggle with the cats on the couch, sit with them on the floor, spoil them with treats or watch them wrestle with their friends and climb around the room. The Cat Lounge is a unique little world that is all about cats, where they can just be themselves.
Since the cats are in their own safe space, you'll quickly learn who likes to cuddle, who is confident or playful, sweet or shy. You might even discover that you have an inexplicable connection to a particular cat… That’s what the Lounge is all about: making connections in a space that’s comfortable and casual, for both humans and cats. There’s no need to be an adopter though. Anyone who just wants to hang out with cats is welcome!
The cats and kittens you will meet in the Lounge have largely been rescued by independent rescuers and community members from empty lots, abandoned buildings and backyards. Others come to us via shelter partners or, under very rare and special circumstances, as owner surrenders. Wherever they originated, thanks to the hard work of our generous and dedicated foster homes, all of the cats you will meet in the Lounge are ready for their forever homes! And they all have a unique story of their own that we hope you will read about in our Adoptable Cats section.
CAT LOUNGE INFO & HOURS
We ask for a $6 donation ($5 cash) per person per 30 minutes. This fee helps us with veterinary visits, food, and toys to keep the cats happy and healthy.
Upon entering, you’ll be asked to remove your shoes, sign in, pay the entrance fee and wash your hands.
While we love our human guests, the Cat Lounge is really all about the cats’ comfort and enrichment, so in order to maintain a peaceful environment for them we respectfully ask our visitors to please keep voices and activity levels down.
Visitors 15 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
It is okay to play with the cats but we ask guests not pick to them up or restrain them. If a cat crawls into your lap that is wonderful, but please do not stand up with them. We simply want to avoid any of our guests potentially receiving a scratch.
