Volunteer Opportunities

Help us transport cats and kittens to and from foster care and veterinary appointments. Most destinations are in Central Brooklyn, but longer drives/farther destinations (Long Island, Upstate New York, Queens) may be required for specialist veterinary appointments.

We are always in search of caring and dedicated animal lovers to help us help cats in need. Join an existing committee (events, fundraising, marketing, etc.) or pitch a new project. Let us know where your talents and passions lie! 

Are you experienced with grant writing or have general non-profit experience? Please reach out!

Additionally, we are currently in search of an experienced Development Director (this is a paid gig) to build and maintain individual and institutional giving programs.

Cat Lounge caretakers maintain the cleanliness of the Lounge and provide enrichment for the cats during non-visiting hours. We ask volunteers in this capacity to make a weekly commitment to this important role.

Help us tell the moving stories of the cats under our care through compelling Instagram posts, our newsletter or marketing materials. Assist us in writing their ads or communicating how our supporters’ donations are being used to help animals in need.

Are you computer savvy and love to organize? Help us manage our cats' care! This critically important role entails uploading medical records, photos and expenses for each cat to our animal management software. We ask for a regular commitment of 1-2 hours a week with this position.

Experienced and certified trappers are welcome to help with Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects in central Brooklyn. Other opportunities include advising newly-certified trappers on their own projects or helping us manage our trap bank.

Professional or hobbyist photographers are needed to take photos of the beautiful and charismatic cats in our free-roaming Lounge. We also welcome photoshoots of our cats in foster care!
