So You’re Ready to be a Pet Parent!

If you have read Cat Care 101 and are comfortable with the responsibilities and costs associated with pet parenting, please read the following information and fill out the Q&A below so we can get to know you a little better. We love talking with our adopters and applications are reviewed in person! Please note that conversations are conducted in English, however you are welcome to bring a translator with you to facilitate a conversation about adoption.

ADOPTION FEES

There is a fee for cats and kittens who are adopted from Good Home. All of our felines are spayed or neutered, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), microchipped and have tested negative for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), unless otherwise noted. This fee allows Good Home to provide high quality veterinary care, including surgery or emergency care, when needed. The fee also covers basic medical costs we incur in order to properly prepare our cats and kittens for their forever homes and to assist other street cats in need.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Most adoptions take 24-48 hours to process. Our main goal is always to place cats and kittens responsibly and in homes where they will be a great fit. We do not do same day adoptions.

  • We are not able to hold an adopted cat or kitten, so adopters should be prepared to bring their new feline home within 48 hours of signing the contract.

  • Prospective adopters may fill out an application, but if a specific cat is not applied for then it could take longer for us to get back to you. If you’re not sure which feline is right for you, please visit our Cat Lounge to meet adoptable cats and kittens. While we can’t guarantee a match, but it’s a great place to start looking.

  • Applications are reviewed twice a week. Please allow us time to reply.
